Welcome to Distant Squalls

Dedicated to Birmingham's finest, Pram.

"You can hear the secret
Of the shell, as it whispers to you,
As it can tell
How a distant squall becomes a
Gentle sea swell,
Sea swell.."

Welcome to Distant Squalls

About ten (or perhaps even more) years ago I decided to set up a Pram website since I couldn't find much information on the internet at the time. I worked out a design and decided to call it "Distant Squalls". I never quite got round to it, and then sometime later discovered Superchouette which made the effort seem superfluous.

But now Pascal has decided not to update Superchouette any more, so it seems the time is finally right to do the work and create my own site. This is not intended as a direct replacement, it is my own particular tribute. However, I do aim to provide much the same information, and to be at least as comprehensive as Pascal has been.

12 October 2007:Thanks to octafish for providing some corrections to the gigography for some Belgian gigs. Hopefully I should have a bit more time to update the site soon but in the meantime check out the new official Pram website I'm off to see Pram on 15th in Birmingham and will post a review on Last.Fm. Finally - don't forget to listen to the new album - it has been well worth the wait.
19 July 2007: Updated the gigography to get rid of some of the strange formatting, and added reviews and a flyer. I would desperately like to hear from anyone with photos or reviews of any Pram gigs. I still haven't decided whether to have a forum to take over from Superchouette's (I figure I should concentrate on the main content of the site). In the meantime however, you could use the forum on the last.fm Pram group - although you would have to sign up to last.fm for that (not a bad thing...)
