The title is a poem written by a second grade child about Sputnik.

Fridge Death were Daren Garrets first band. According to Daren: "We were attempting to be the Black Country's answer to Butthole Surfers and had a fair bash at it"
Daren was also in The Burning Buddists (sic), who have never officially split up...
Both the Burning Buddhists and Fridge Death appear on the Brum Brum compilation with Pram.

The Dovettes - I don't really know, but there was a band called the Dovettes in an episode of Quantum Leap - Coincidence??

"we had something like 4-6 weeks to write, rehearse and record our debut full length lp! This may account for the naive sound of some of the tunes - Loredo Venus and Dorothy (perhaps my favourite tune) were sorted out mere seconds before recording - that, and the fact that we mixed the fucker in 5 hours flat starting at midnight!"
